The Almighty and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Great Britain to Russia Anthony Russell Brenton on the 10th of March visited CJSC “NovaCard” to meet the company director Vladimir Krupnov.
At the meeting were also present: Paul Knott, the Second Secretary of the Political Department of the Great Britain Embassy in the RF, Ivan Konovalov, Head of International Affaires Board under Administration of the Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, NovaCard management and Chris Horswell, Oberthur Card Systems' Business Director, CIS.
During the meeting Vladimir Krupnov and Chris Horswell have informed the Ambassador of a strategic alliance made up by the NovaCard company and Oberthur Card Systems (OCS), as well as about the joined work carried by the NovaCard and the largest OCS plant (Tewkesbury, UK) specialists for further partnership development between two companies.
The Great Britain Ambassador Anthony Brenton has visited a NovaCard production zone and familiarized himself with the most important stages of the plastic card production process including implantation of the modules, supplied to NovaCard by Oberthur Card Systems.
The Ambassador noted that “NovaCard has set up an impressive production” and wished NovaCard success in achieving its goals.
The company Director Vladimir Krupnov, in his turn, underlined that NovaCard not only develops a successful business but also contributes its own share to integration of Russia into the world business society.
Note: Anthony Brenton was appointed the Ambassador of Great Britain in the Russian Federation in 2004 and in this position on the 9-10th March has visited Nizhny Novgorod for the first time. During his visit he participated in the work of an international conference organized by the John Smith Memorial Fund together with the British Council and also met the First Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Vladimir Popov.
